With many wall aquariums, you'll find inadequate filtration, and difficulty heating, cleaning, and maintaining the tank.  AquaVista solves that by including both an under gravel filter and a biological wet/dry filtration system.

The tank is also equipped with a lighting system that is bright and vibrant, and an air pump to keep your water oxygenated.

On the side of the AquaVista 500 is a programmable controller with keypad and lcd screen.  Heating levels are easily programmed in.

While all those necessary features make this one of the best designed wall aquariums out there, AquaVista added more value to this beautiful tank.

How would you like to have easily changeable backgrounds and interchangeable frames?  Well you can.  How cool is that!

This fish tank would look great above a fireplace or couch!

Like the AquaVista 500, the Panoramic Wall Aquarium is full of the necessary features.  It includes a double filtration system, which is nice with the larger size, lighting, air pump, and heating controlled by the programmable controller.

But then AquaVista again adds more value with a carbon dioxide infusion system, which is perfect for helping maintain live aquarium plants.

Also included is an automatic fish feeder!

At first glance, it looks like an ordinary goldfish bowl. It's far from it though! The BiOrb fish tank actually has a special 5-stage filtration system. If you've ever had goldfish in a bowl, you know how quickly the water can turn nasty and dirty. Ughh.

Changing the cartridges looks simple. There's no need to empty out the water, which saves time. The aquarium bowl is actually ten times stronger than a regular goldfish bowl. But I still don't suggest dropping it!

In the base there's an air pump and filter hidden away. A light in the lid to illuminates your fish, but you have to buy the biOrb heater seperately.

So is it really that good? I read through some of the reviews of the BiOrb Aquarium, and one thing was agreed upon. This fish tank is not good for goldfish. They're just too dirty for it. This would make a great aquarium for smaller fish, such as neon tetras.

It was also suggested that the larger 16 gallon BiOrb aquarium was easier to maintain than the 8 gallon. Personally, I change the water in my betta bowls every two to three weeks, and do a monthly water change in the eclipse aquarium. The betta bowls only have a few gallons of water in them, and stay clean. I'd guess a 16 gallon tank like this wouldn't take any more work than a regular 20 gallon aquarium. It would definitely take up less space.

This custom fish tank has about a 60 gallon capacity, and would make a great tropical freshwater aquarium. It's about 3.3 feet or a metre cubed. The fish tank stand measures 1.1 metres in length, and stands 0.9 of a metre tall. It comes standard in three colors; black, cherry brown, and carbon fibre. They will allow you to choose from over 30 other textures and colors if desired. Truly custom!

Update!  A reader, Alyssa, and myself both emailed the company for a price quote.  Currently the aquarium's cost is 2200 Euros, with a shipping charge of 350 Euros to the States.  That's about $3000 U.S.

I was doing some hunting for new fish tanks, and came across this odd fish tank. Talk about a conversation piece! This 40 gallon aquarium is 30" x 30" x 16" h.

The Octagon Coffee Table Aquarium sits on a black acrylic pedestal, and would sure look great in any fish lover's home. It comes with just about everything, but the water and fish. A two-stage submersible filter pump, lighting, and fake, decorative plants are included. Blue glass gravel is illuminated by the lighting system to produce a sweet looking fish tank.

Place a fish tank toilet in the bathroom, and this coffee table aquarium in the living room, combined with a hanging fish tank, and you'd have quite a setup.

There were two positive reviews on this fish tank with the following to say:

'It's not very space-consuming, so it's a wonderful fit for our apartment. One problem however is the power cord that is a little hard to hide, as well as the condensation that forms where the water filter is. We were able to hide the cords with a fish rug and covered the condensation with a picture. Overall, this is a wonderful table. VERY much RECOMMENDED!'

The other review commented on the size of the aquarium too. They write, 'It's gotten to the point that I've considered doing away with a lot of my furniture to make room for the new additions! With this product, I don't really have to sacrifice much. Of course, I wouldn't recommend this tank in a high-traffic area of the house, and if you have small children it's a definite no-no, but between my dog, my cats, my birds, and my other 8 tanks (mostly 55 gallon tanks)it's nice to have a fascinating conversation piece of a grow-out tank!'

Stock the aquarium with a pleco or two, to keep the algae down, and you'd not only have a functional coffee table, but an aesthetically pleasing piece of furniture to enjoy.
